Mama Santos came to my hut early that morning to see how I was and to wake me for the journey down the mountain. I noticed he had a mule standing out the front of my hut with saddle and all. I decided I would make a coffee for Mama and I before I even began to venture a thought about the saddle on that mule. It was a pyramid shape made out of wood strapped together with vines. Couldn’t say it looked all that comfortable to be honest.

Coffee first, I thought. I started making the coffee and Mama asked how I felt this morning. I thought about it for a second and to my surprise I was feeling pretty good. I took a deep breath, there was a little bit of pain still but nothing compared to the day before. I got up and moved around and happily smiled at Mama. "I feel much better Mama, Thank you".
I was amazed; the difference in the way I felt was nothing short of miraculous.

Mama nodded in approval, drank his coffee and said' When you have your menstrual cycle, give your blood to the Mountain as payment. The mountain and I are one".
