Mama's Village
I was inspired by the determination Mama Saint beheld. He wanted to help his people, and was going to great lengths to find a way. My presence in the mountain was a living example of how far Mama would go. I knew I was not welcomed by all, and I knew how strict the Kogis were about having civilisation in their mountain, especially in the villages. I could tell by the looks some of the villagers were giving me, that I was not accepted by all. I began lowering my head as I passed people walking down to the river for my morning bath as my nods and smiles of acknowledgement were often greeted with disapproving grunts or defiant stares. To them I was a tourist invading their mountain, so I didn’t blame them for not welcoming me.
