Grooming

I realised it was pointless to convince the mother to take him to the hospital one day when I paid them a visit to administer more treatment. I sat down and spent a little longer than usual this time, and noticed the mother also had the same dry, hacking cough. Mama later told me, TB often takes whole families. Not only that, there are many deaths from dysentery, dengue fever, hepatitis and even sometimes malaria. I was very sad, but I felt helpless. Though now I was beginning to understand the reasons behind Mamas plan for an indigenous hospital in the mountains.
